Promising Fastnet Rock four year-old Faster Son is set for a Melbourne Spring campaign following another commanding victory at Doomben last Saturday.
Resuming from an 18 week spell, Faster Son extended his career record to 4 wins from 5 starts for trainer Trevor Bailey following his easy Doomben victory.
After taking up the early lead, Faster Son was eased out of the speed battle before hunting early leader Overanxious and cruising by to score a soft three and an three quarter length win.
At his first attempt on Slow ground, Faster Son covered the 1200m journey in 1:11.28.
Foresetreno defeated the Open sprinters earlier in the day in the slower time of 1:12.13, adding further merit to Faster Sons win.
Faster Son was selected, purchased and syndicated by Grant Morgan of Ontrack Thoroughbreds.
A son of Queensland Oaks runner up Sonata (by Palace Music), Faster Son was purchased out of the Kitchwin Hills yearling draft at the 2008 Inglis Scone Sale.
Congratulations to owners Chris Lloyd, TCB Syndicate (Managers Paul Holloway & Petar Ivanovski), Woongarra Racing (Dennis Smith & Chris Forrestor), John & Chris O'Leary, Denice & Roy Cunnington, Kinglsey & Evelyn Peach and Greg & Maureen Conlon.
